Using VA Health Care Benefits can help veterans save on medical expenses.
These benefits can be used even if the veteran has private health care insurance.
The VA uses a Financial Assessment & Income Verification process to determine if veterans qualify for free services or if there will be a co-pay.
VA Health Care Benefits are available to veterans that have served on active duty for 24 continuous months or that were called to active duty and completed that full period, and were separated under any condition other than dishonorable. A full list of eligibility requirements are located here.
