Combat Steaks

We purchased the Weber’s Greatest Hits recipe book from Lowe’s and have been trying the Fan Favorites. Colonel Stewart Navarre, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California submitted this recipe to Weber’s grilling contest in 2006. Last night we made Combat Steaks; they were tender, flavorful and mouth-watering. We made two small modifications to the recipe/directions; we used strip steaks instead of ribeyes and melted the blue cheese in with the mushrooms before topping the steak.
